Trying Things On For Size

Hey there! Today I want to chat about furniture. Sometimes I get in a rut with furniture. I have things placed and I like them and I don't change them. I used to move furniture around all the time in our previous home, but this house doesn't seem to offer as many options. However, a month or so ago I got the bug to try a few new things.

While we were painting the family room, hubby and I started brainstorming and came up with a new layout.

Sometimes I Feel Like A Skipping Record

Oh my, as I typed that title I realized that there are those of you younger than me that may not even know what that means. Bless your heart. So, back in the day, when you played music on a record player, sometimes the needle would get stuck on a speck of dust, or a scratch, or something and just stay in that spot playing that same second or two of music over and over again until someone fixed it by moving the needle. The dark ages of music, I know.

How To Make Custom Piping Trim For Pillows

Hi there! I'm so happy to be back to blogging!! My posts might seem a little all over the place for the next few weeks. I have a lot of things to share from the summer! Today I would like to start with how to make custom piping trim. The title says "for pillows" but you can use this for anything you would like to add piping to. As far as the level of difficulty, I would say it's pretty easy. If you can sew a straight line, you can do this! 


I think sewing tutorials are really hard to write, but I'm going to do the best I can and hope that the pictures will fill in the gaps.
